The SAIAT is a national organisation so structured that every member can participate in the governing of the organisation through their participation on Regional level.
Chapters can be formed by members in so many areas as possible. The Chairman of the Chapter reports to the Chairman of the Region. The Constitution through the relevant Regulation allows for nine regions, in line with the official provinces of South Africa.
The Chairman of a Region is selected every second year by the chairmen of the chapters as per the criteria set in the Constitution through the relevant Regulation. The Regional Chairman represents the Region on the SAIAT National Committee.
